    Re: Knock when cold

So back from my trip. The knock is getting worse, happens everyday now after about 2min of driving.

I found out today that it only happens when I have the clutch engaged, as soon as I take my...

    Re: Radar Renegade RT+ Tyres

The RT+ say they are a rugged terrain, but basically they are muds. Same speed rating, aggressive tread and sidewall. Rugged terrain just sounds like marketing speak. These RT tyres actually look...

    Re: Radar Renegade RT+ Tyres

They are rated same as my General Grabber X3's, rating Q. 160km per hour. Considering I max go 120 to 130 they are fine.

What are other muds rated at?

Sorry for the crap pics. I was more focused on driving than photos.

    Re: Radar Renegade RT+ Tyres

So here are my thoughts regarding the tyres:

We did our first Richtersveld trip (just me and the wife). Camped at De Hoop, then drove through to Vioolsdrift. T4A and Garmin took us on a...

    Re: Flex CF55 Fridge

Just back from my Richtersveld trip. The fridge worked great, no issues.

The Bluetooth app is really great, able to check on the fridge from my camp chair without getting up.

    Re: Radar Renegade RT+ Tyres

    Just got back from Richtersveld.

Will write up a proper post, but for now all I can say is that these tyres are epic.

Hankook ATM has been out for ages and is old tech now. I have had 2 sets in the past. The LT spec lasted ages, were fantastic off road if a little loud on the tar. They were tough tyres.

Re: Tow Bar vehicle recovery is dangerous!

Why it also helps to use a recovery bag or blanket over the snatch rope or winch line. Just make sure it not empty and has a few things in it to weigh it down.

Will hopefully bring the rope to...

Re: Tracking device - which do you use?

I use Cartrack. They install it and you pay monthly.

It's about R99 pm. Not 100% sure as mine is a package through Tuffstuff, so not sure about the installation cost if any.

    It's really good,...
