    OK my 2003,250d has a different water trap. Did you reconnect black wire for black wire and green for red.

    Basically those wires are just to complete the circuit. So by going with your idea, it should be fine.

    Just an idea, take it to a tyre place and get their advice. If you want to keep it as a spare, then get them to glue in a patch over that area for added protection.

    For big spacious jobs, yes but for small confined spaces, the small hand crimper still comes out tops. That IMHO.

    Good idea but will prove difficult when crimping in a vehicle engine bay or an area with little to no space when using a hammer.

    To my knowledge my 2003,250d 4x2 does not have one. Infact my bakkie only has a battery, alternator and engine, nothing else that is fancy and electronic.

    You would need to fit a large enough power pack to vehicle to handle the load when load shedding or no escom supply occurs ie a generator.

    Why not remove old loom and wiring, noting what colour and what wire went were. Might cost more than buying a new loom at end of day. I'm under correction.
