I have 2006 polo that did something similar. After opening, a cable tie sorted out it. Still working about 2-3 years after that fix. Lock wasn't properly secured.

Yes we were quite lucky.. I actually drove past and my 11 year old spotted them and told me to reverse.

The road is mostly fine with some more corrugations on the Nossob side, and also softer sand...

    Re: Fortuner Diff Lock

Did you drive with it a little, turn steering a little to see if it engages? Mine will flash until I drive and turn, then it engages.

Re: Is it really worth it?

I have one of these Polos, a 2006 1.6 comfortline with factory sunroof. Bought cash for around R130k new.

Just did the "160k" service, with around 125 000km on the clock.

    Fortuner Re: Fortuner V6 consumption

Using that car as a mom's taxi will give you that consumption. Lots of short trips in stop/go traffic while the car is warming up is pretty much the worst thing for fuel consumption.

Fortuner Re: Looking at buying a Toyota Fortuner 4.0 V6

    I bought a 2009 4.0 V6 4x4 for R250k last year, 100k on the clock.
