    Duncan, I do not know what you are switching on and off, but that type of switch is not suitable for extension leads. Chances are it can only carry an amp or two as it is mainly made for light loads...

    Yes, you want it. Mileage is low for these engines, they simply carry on.

    You should check, however, when (or if...) the cam belt has been changed, it will need to be done at around that mileage....

    While it will keep them charged, it would be prudent to measure the voltage across them when the charger is connected and they are fully charged. Should not be higher than about 13.1V.
