    I do not know about max for 6J.Mine are 6.5J mags and there is no issues with 245/70/16.

    I'm sure you'll get it sorted with narrower tire.

    way i do it:
    first goes tarp and everything is secured with ropes/straps
    next goes cargo net just to be safe.

    at the end everything depends what are you loading.
