Only the B6, gas type. You also get B4, oil type, that is not serviceable.

Hoekom?
Amarok het 8 ratte vorentoe, nie 9 nie.
Not sure, but think it will be parts like manifolds, exhaust, mapping and so on. I would be surprised if it is internal components.
Anyway, In all the years of VW 6cyl diesel engines, I haven't...
Fuel consumption on the remapped 3.0 is almost the same than that of a 2.0 Amarok. In town it's quite a bit more, but on the highway it's actually a bit better.
For me the added power won't by...
The previous Cayenne 3.0D made over 200kw in stock form. Apart from obvious changes it is basically the same unit as that of the Amarok.
Also, don't for one moment think the Amarok "only" make...
Just keep in mind that it is nowhere near a rival for the ride comfort you have now.
It is very good for a d/cab, but nowhere near my wife's X5 though.
Not sure.
He took it to Kosie Swanepoel, who fitted a Unichip to his previous 2.0. As the Unichip don't work on the 3.0, Kosie used a 3 party to do the mapping.
I am thinking of remapping it...
There are already a lot of locally tuned 250kw Amaroks in South Africa, and even at that power the engine is not over stressed. The real issue lies with the auto box. As the kw increases so does the...
I have read somewhere that the next Amarok will definitely not have a V6, but rather a 2.0 4cyl.
17" every day of the week.
Hi, I have lost John's contact details.
Can someone help, either by posting here or by sending me a pm please.
TIA
My dad fitted his 17" wheels from his 2.0 when he bought his current V6 in 2018. It has 265/65/17 tyres and works no issues at all.
He has the stock suspension as well.
Yup, I did that with my Amarok. Replaced all the filters with every service. The extra cost is worth the peace of mind.
For me, 140kw is way too little. My wife's X5 3.0D makes 195kw and that is not enough. See, different people have different needs.
Mmmm, hard to compare those 2 as they cater for very different needs.
The 4motion is class leading, I am yet to see any other 4x4 with the same amount of electronic aids, and then it has a...
Imagine what the income must be for those who sit on chairs.
77 to be exact. His other car is a X5 M50i,making a very healthy 390kw. Let's just say my mother gets a bit anxious at times[emoji1787]
This is where OEMs make the big money.
You have to ask yourself, how much more does it cost to make a 2.0 4cyl engine to produce 180kw instead of 135kw. That is the difference between a 520i and...
Same here. Liked the rubber mats so much, that I bought two sets for my wife's and my current car(BMW).
Would pick that option every time.
No, keep your current V6.
I will be buying my dad's 2018 V6 next year August, when my current lease is up. That is already remapped and has 76mm exhaust as well. Make just over 230kw.;D
I guess...
Because I like to get modern day equipment for modern day prices. Not ten year old tech that Toyota disguises as new cars.
Anyway, trolling much????
I know cars are getting more expensive every year, but paying over R900k for any d/cab is just wrong.
I remember when I bought my 2014 Amarok for R500k, people were shocked that d/cabs were that...
I had Seikel rocksliders on my Amarok. They performed flawlessly and definitely did their intended job in protecting the underside.
On dirt roads deflate to at least 1.8 bar. And definitely press the off-road button.
I understand your reasoning for doing this, but don't for one second think it won't happen at other brands.
As said earlier, rather get a decent indy, or another dealership. Case in point here in...
Very true words these.
Most dealerships are under such massive pressure to turn around as many cars as possible, that the mechies there have no hope or time to do any real mechanic work. They have...
Just be careful with putting BMW wheels on a Amarok.
It has been known to make the indicator lights malfunction..........
From that photo it does look like a conventional flywheel. Not sure though.
Made your appointment yet? ;D;D
TDI Flywheel

TSI flywheel

Yup, I expect a few tuners to offer this type of conversion soon.
My only concern still, will be the auto box.
I'd be very curious to know exactly what mods were needed on the gearbox.
That will be the weakest link in the drivetrain.
Auto 4x4 is more thirsty than other Amaroks, mainly due to being permanent 4x4. At 130kp/h I saw an average of 9.5L/100km, while manual owners saw closer to 8L/100km.
For me, that is not a big...
