    i think the bigger risk is at JLR itself, malicious modification of a module, and distribution to all vehicles. In that case, encryption of the OTA piece would be irrelevant.

    Much more important than angle is whether they are in full sun. Partial shading makes a huge difference - disproportionately to the amount of the panel in the shade.
