Re: Landcruiser 79 update in 2020?

Just did a 6000 km trip in Zambia with the V6 and a abba camper on it. Average 5.57km/l. Speed varied from 120 kpu on long hauls to slow sand tracks driving.

Over the last 40 k km the average is...

    Re: Land Cruisers too uneconomical?

Basically what I did all along with the other vehicle I use, but up to 140 k km, then it still sells good. After that less buyers will take it.

With a cruiser kilos dont matter , even a V8 with...

    Re: Land Cruisers too uneconomical?

Agree, I always had another 'softer' vehicle for running around. And never use the dealers after the warranty expired. And will probably never buy a V8 either. :)

    Re: Hardekool hout braai manne

Lead wood grain is finer and a dull brown with the typical white soft wood round it, if chopped. https://tinroofhome.com/product/furniture/african-leadwood-table/

    Mpone is more reddish like.

    Re: Hardekool hout braai manne

Not sure if all the pieces is lead wood but yes some are. That red hard wood of lead wood burns quit slow and its ashes tend to smother it. Mopane don't do that, thats way it makes a better a braai...

Re: Selfdrive Zimbabwe - Botswana - Namibia

Re: Landcruiser 79 update in 2020?

It might be possible, but expired license is basically not a licence vehicle on the road here.

May ideally. March can be wet still and you may not see much game.
  20. Re: What Time of Year Is there low temps but high water in falls

Ruacana falls are dry most of the time, as said only in high floods it has water, when the hydro cant take the flow. Epupa falls always has some flow, from the Ruacana hydro station.

Re: Anyone been stopped at a speed trap near Gobabis?

Yes minimum fine is N$1000.00, above 126 kph. Not sure how long that device can keep die reading , but apparently they record a higher speed and use that for bribes on the following vehicles.
