Re: New 10 speed Ranger gearbox

    Thats pretty good!

I average 10.5km/l on my daily commute, 50/50 mixture of bumper to bumper crawling and open road at 80-100, but my weekend driving brings my average consumption to about 10km/l....

Re: New 10 speed Ranger gearbox

That's good to hear! I am seeing more and more of them on the road. Also the reviews read and watched before I purchased were all great. What sort of consumption do you get on your day to day driving...

Re: New 10 speed Ranger gearbox

Not any long distance, pulled our work generator(700kg excl. trailer) from Stikland to Maitland with a rental, double axel, trailer. about 40km. Pulled strong up and down a few hills. I'm going to...

Re: New 10 speed Ranger gearbox

Ive done about 16000km in mine now (Mine is the SiT) and have not had any issues to date, touch wood.

I also don't understand the comments around excessive gear changes. Besides a few low down...

Re: 4wd Action Test - Bakkies

I watched that vid and was wondering about the comments regarding aftermarket suspension etc.

Surely if you follow their advice and buy a lower spec model and use the savings on after market...

Ford & Mazda Re: Increasing theft of Ford Rangers

I own a newer "keyless start" model, I wonder if that will deter them in any way?

  10. Ford & Mazda Re: FORD EVEREST 2.0 sit loud engine noise when accelerating

I'm happy to report that all seems fairly quiet and reserved with radio off and window open. Definitely sounds, no pun intended, like something is wrong on your motor.
  11. Ford & Mazda Re: FORD EVEREST 2.0 sit loud engine noise when accelerating

You've done the right thing, it sounds odd and not in line with the refined diesel noise you should have. I'm still going to be driving home with the radio off today!
  12. Ford & Mazda Re: FORD EVEREST 2.0 sit loud engine noise when accelerating

The hissing noise I can relate to, it didn't sound out of place (and wasn't/isn't intrusive) and I put that down to turbo noise of sorts, it doesn't sound like anything mechanical is out of place....

    Re: Why shouldn’t I buy a Ford

I don't believe there are badly built vehicles for sale in the new/demo space at the moment. I reckon you have as good a chance to hit a lemon with any of Toyota/ Ford/ Isuzu/ Mitsu etc.

    Find one...
  14. Ford & Mazda Re: FORD EVEREST 2.0 sit loud engine noise when accelerating

I drive the 2.0 SiT Ranger XLT and have not noticed the same. I was actually very impressed with the lack of noise.

I'm also interested to hear...I have a 2019 model D/C and am also investigating going from Securi-lid cover and roll bar to canopy.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have been fortunate to travel a bit and one thing I always note when in Europe and Great Britain is our stark shortage of affordable, fun vehicles!

    Re: CAR Magazine July 2019
