    Re: Is this possible?

I would love to know what makes it "... one of its kind in the country and possibly Africa."

Maybe it's the fact that it "... smells like an old person."

Makes me think of the joke: Why do men...

Re: New type of Gas Bottle Stand?

No welding has been done on my cylinder. The tabs with holes have been bent 90, and the wire feet just clip into the holes.

Fortunately my gas cylinder has the extendable/fold-out feet built in. No idea where I got it, and haven't seen any others like it.

Re: Land Cruiser auto-up on driver's window

Because firstly, all the LCs in SA have the non-auto switch, so all you are going to buy from a scrapyard is what you already have.
Secondly, why spend R70 on a scrapyard switch when you can upgrade...

Re: Land Cruiser auto-up on driver's window

I will post the photos of when I did the mod on my 76. Pretty easy to do.

You basically just trim the switch top so that it can lift a little higher, and then solder a diode across 2 points on...

Yes Janseekat, the video is only 23secs long and only shows the end result. It's called "Clickbait"

If you are prepared to send me one, I will see what I can mod for you. I am in PE.
  12. Re: Centre console area on dash backlight globes.

Pull the blue cap off the end, and see whether you can pull the globe out of the grey holder. My bet is that this is what you will find, available from Midas for about R1.20ea:

    Re: Tubes for tubeless tyres??

I use Tyre Shield. Add it to the new tyre when fitting and forget about it.

It will seal a hole punched through a tyre by an object up to 6mm in diameter.

It will even seal the bead area...

Re: Brake fluid on Brake shoes

FWIW, brake fluid on the linings is not an issue, and can be washed off with hot water as mentioned above. Very rarely does brake fluid affect the lining. Oil on the other hand is a huge issue.

    Re: Gillie Cullem Waterfall, Elliot?

This is my active track from the day we went. The lowest point of the track is where the farmhouse is. Beyond that you need permission to enter the property.

Yes it is, but please remember that whichever side you come in from, you will be on private property, and I would recommend asking permission to get there.

  29. Re: Will this spotlight harness work on an Isuzu DMax 2020

Yes, it will work, provided your vehicle has H4 headlight globes.

All this harness achieves is to use the headlight (Bright) to trigger the relay, which in turn powers the spotlights directly from...
