Re: 4x4-ing and the well matured

Over the (many) years I've developed the following way to change big/heavy wheels.

Use a scissors jack - easy to get into restricted places, easy to operate - especially the one I have now -...

Re: How Good Are These Shoto Batteries?

I've got five of the 48V 100Ah SHOTO batteries on two systems - three on one system and two on the other system.
I've had them for 18 months and they've performed fine.
    Paid R20 000 each...

This compliments my observations as well.

    I had a 2007 Ft D4d from new.
Always, 1 500km after an oil change the oil was decidedly black.
I owned the vehicle for 14 years and never added any...

Re: Rip-off for a plain kettle cable...

This indicates that the cable cores are 0.75mm2.
    0.75mm2 has a rating of 6 amps.
    Should be able to power a device of 72W @ 12V or 1320W @ 220V.

So, just like battery booster cables, how do you tell the difference?
Is there a rating embossed on the cable sheath?

Not relevant I know, but phew - memories!

    Agreed.
We were there in September 2021 and the roads were very good.
Odd sections of corrugations from the gate to Sendeling's but otherwise good.

Sticky: Re: Thoughts on Binoculars, by Phil Ridgwell

We have two Nikon Monarch's - they are both excellent.
We've had the 8x42 for 10 years and the 10x42 for 8 years.

Both are used (almost) daily and are often on field trips.
    The only problem that...
