    I guess replacing all four wouldn't be that much more work than replacing just two seeing that the intercooler etc needs to be removed anyway.

    Replaced the fuel filter and hard start with black smoke is gone. One of the o-rings - most likely the top one - was not sealing properly anymore causing the system to suck air and fuel...
