High pressure pump from a 5l bolts straight on to the kzte, making it mechanical injection. However in this country they are hard to come by.
The pump from a Mitsubishi 4m40 also bolts on...
Cracked/split boost hose, or a burst open intercooler is a common cause of that malfunction. Although a fault code would confirm it
As far as i know, Mercedes centre bore is 66.6, and the pcd is 5x112.
That might be an option
I suspect that maybe the hydraulic tensioner isn't pretentioned correctly.
Once you have sorted the system,
Get a smallish solar panel and regulator, say 100w, and mount it near where the bakkie stands, connect it up to the main battery everytime the bakkie is parked up....

highly doubt the welsh plug fell "into" the engine. the cooling system should be under pressure and the plug should therefore be blown out.
Just my observation
ye, just plumb it up, connect it up and off we go. pressures shouldn't be an issue, most manufacturers runs similar pressures.
get a pump from an old 1st gen Mercedes a class. 2 wires and it runs.
Had a similar vibration which eventually become more perminant.
had a root around outside and found play on the rear universal.
took it out, measured and matched a new universal from Autozone,...
Richard Deboss (DeBoss garage) is a fantastic guy.

It strikes without warning, at the most inconvenient time
KJ are decent value for money. but if you do buy it, the minute you take possession, order the new KJ ignition pin from ebay or amazon and keep it in the glove box
That would be easy to clear up.
check the voltage second battery with ignition on, engine not running, and compare it to the voltage when ignition switched off.
you could also check the voltage...

its a pity the 2004-2006 Ranger never came in a single cab 4x4, that would fit right into the budget. the supercabs go for that, but the load bin is smaller than a single cab.
Look for a mercedes c230 block/piston. its the exact same m111 engine
Its not that bad, got up at 6 this morning, grabbed my paperwork, got a cuppa on the way and arrived at the Strand licence office about 06:30.
filled out the papers while drinking my coffee, waiting...
I think the ecoboost v6 would be a nice addition to the line up. even if it is just the 2.7
240kw 500nm is plenty
I have just come across this thread.
I have a 2006 2.5tdi supercab with 350 000 km. I wasn't aware of a red fuel light. Is this a standard feature on 2006. maybe mine has never worked, too scared...
Can I throw a spanner in the works. How about a turbo lexus >:D
LIKE your decal/wrap very much ;D
sounds like a SCV or suction control valve issue, I assume the puma motors have them.
what area you in? is Subaru working on it?
indeed, do quite a few Subaru aircons. very seldom replace a compressor. the "O" rings on the pipes to the compressor tend to leak. they are generally quite a noisy compessor.
Sounds like the clutch isn't releasing fully, or the pilot bearing is suspect.
strangely enough Subaru ac compressors are noisy when under gassed too.
As above, My Ranger has a normal lock diff with a 4.44 ratio as per the norm in SA. I have been looking around an getting a truetrac and it apears there is a dana 44 version that fits into our local...
both turbo and non turbo were available all the way till year 2000. both exceptionally good. the non turbo auto is the slowest of the bunch. the turbodiesel with the electronic 5 speed 722.6 autobox...
