    Re: Kuga, Freelander or Forester?

    My 2 cents.

Having owned both, the Freelander and the scooby was high mileage models.

The freelander was cheaper to maintain. Brilliantly reliable except for a gearbox rebuild at 280K kms.

Any warning lights on with the fault?

Low battery voltage can cause a parkbrake fault warning to flash on startup.

Re: 75W-80 in a Defender Puma

Depending on where you are. Ford uses the same gbox in the ranger, You could source oil from them.

If you're in the middle of nowhere i would use the 75W80 And change when back in civilization

Its not normal 3000rpm is to high.

On your driver side tappet cover you have 2 pcv Diaphragms. One usually has a tear in it that causes the high revving on startup.
