    Re: Weber Q gas braai

I love the Q2200. Great especially for steaks :-)

Sometimes I find it a bit hot though for slower cooks, even on its lowest setting. But a roasting rack and shield helps for that.

    Re: Good Tyre Pump........Pointers?

Different price class, but consider the ARB on-board jobbies as well.

I had one installed a while ago, as well as an air line extension to the back of the Fortuner, mounted on the drawer system....

  6. Re: Advice - Transporting water in tanks or not

We try fill up wash/shower tanks as close to the destination as possible.
Several camp sites don't have taps close by the stands (e.g. Punda Maria and probably most of KNP), so I have a 45 l...

Re: How practical is a Porta Potty?

1&2 depends on the potty's capacity as well as your own. They have indicators to warn you in time. Just use proper chemicals. Check for green chemicals and be kind to your camping site...

Re: So who is going camping this weekend?

Heads-up for all the snoozers... 27 April is on a Tuesday this year. Do your bookings for that long weekend NOW ;D
Unfortunately 1 May falls on a Saturday, so no public holiday mileage from that.

Re: What do you want from ablutions

    Agreed.

Just make it spacious. I hate these setups where you have to exit your shower to change your mind. And making something one bricklength wider, well that's the cheapest option on your cost...

  21. Re: Temporary powering items non-critical lines from critical lines

Fluffy, I have a Victron Quattro 48/15000/200/100/100 12000W, and on sunny non-loadshedding days I am able to run aircon+criticals fine without Eskom buy-in. I guess that means I should be ok?
