    Re: Vulcanised air mattress

If you find a new one let me know. Mine lasted 15 years and in the end the vulcanising perished on the seams where it folds.

Re: Sand free ground sheets - Yes/No?

Used one in one Richtersveld sand in 2011, definitely works, but it's a bit small for the caravan.

    Discovery 4 Re: E-clutch failure - ZF6HP28

The vehicle manufacturers started the "sealed for life" bs, remember this was when scrapping schemes and 3-year ownership was in vogue. ZF themselves specified a 80 000 km oil change IIRC

    Discovery 3 Re: D3 V8 early model

35K at ZF if the Valve Body is ok, 45 if its not. Keep in mind as per the discussion yesterday, no amount of flushing, Dr Tranny etc will fix a box if the adaption values progress beyond the limits.

    Discovery 4 Re: E-clutch failure - ZF6HP28

I agree with Douglash on the ZF recommendation.

Waiting in anticipation for my E-clutch to go, adaption values are waaaay past what they should be. ZF checks the adaption values before doing an...

Re: Independent trailer suspension DIY question

A bit off topic but there was another idea I briefly flirted with and promptly forgot about, now that the anti roll / sway bar is mentioned, it springs to mind again.

Re: What have you done with your Discovery today?

Some guys get 7, most of us probably not. I'm with Henkus on this one. 5 km/l is my vacation budget. Saw 7 twice in 180 000 km.
