    Re: Mahindra 4x4 Karoo

It isn't going to go where your Jeeps were able to, that is a given but as far as DC bakkies go you shouldn't have an issue keeping up with any other brand in a stock vs. stock scenario.

    I own the...
  2. Re: Bad Shot - The now legal Elephant hunt in Botswana

The behaviour of most anti-hunters is hypocritical at best and downright malicious at worst. They have a lot to say but rarely reach into their own pockets to do something, think nothing of ruining...

    Re: Mahindra Squeaking Noise

A pin-hole in a boost pipe will act like a whistle and you wouldn't necessarily lose power.

    Other possible causes:

It can be a bearing in a belt tensioner albeit unlikely if the pitch of the...

Re: List of Silent home Generators

No, you have it wrong! I mean if nothing bad has happened in 5 years why would it happen now?

The cost of installation of a legal and safe change-over switch is so much more than the legal costs...

Re: Suzuki Samurai - Should we buy?

My dad owned one for 15 odd years.

    Suzuki Samurais are 1300cc.
Very capable 4x4 even in standard form. The owner's manual mentions it was primarily designed for off-road work and if you dig into...

Re: Mahindra Scorpio S10 - Brakes

    You don't give much detail.

    What year is the vehicle?

    What mileage?

Are you talking about disc replacement, pad replacement or both?

Mahindra don't do maintenance plans only service plans...

Re: 2 Inch Lift S11 SUV

Wow, I did not realise the S11 came with the 5 speed box.

I really think they missed a good opportunity here. The XUV500 is not a competitor to the Scorpio imo as it is a softroader.

Re: 2 Inch Lift S11 SUV

Your warranty is 3 years or 100 000KM. What I want to know is why you would want to lift the vehicle? The Pik Up on which that vehicle is based is pretty high already and you can get about 50mm lift...

Re: TJ Wrangler: diesel conversion options

That transmission has the same bolt pattern from bellhousing to gearbox than the R series Toyota boxes. I don't think you would struggle to find a suitable bellhousing for a Japanese engine.
  13. Re: Whats the best LDV/bakkie engine on the market now?

I would put the 75KW Austrian AVL 2.5L TD engine as found in the Mahindra Bolero and older generation Pik Up up there with any other mechanically injected TD in terms of durability. The same engine...

Re: Vehicle Finance now 96 Months.........

The Suzuki GV V6 is a very reliable car no doubt about it. My dad owns one and it is fairly good off-road although a lift kit should be on your list of modifications unless you want to leave the rear...

    Re: Snomaster vs Dometic (80l)

    A fridge/ freezer is a big investment.

When I eventually took the plunge the deciding factors were:
    Budget
    Space
    Standard accessories
    Guarantee
    Easy access to service centre

    These all go...

Re: Overlanding.. Do you really need a 4x4?

  29. Re: General Grabber AT3 vs Hankook Dynapro ATM

    Interesting factoid:

On some German vehicles there is a function in the onboard computer you can programme for winter tires. This will automatically limit the top speed to a safe level.

I beg to differ. The offset on the Trench differs from the Lynx and Grip in that it has a 35mm positive offset whereas the Lynx and Grip both have 0mm offset. That small amount of offset is all that...

You can get pro-white steelies from Errols.

You don't need to be concerned about what other vehicle share the PCD, you only need to know the PCD which is 5x160.

    Re: Mahindra aftermarket rims

Errol's Tyres stock the correct wheels.

The only mag wheel that will not rub without jacking up the torsion bars on the Scorpio are the A-Line Trench wheels. Don't let them tell you otherwise....
