    Re: Uitenhage to J'Bay - R334

When I lived in Uitenhage, it was our default road. Things might have changed since. Condition is not the best but not impossible. I don't think its any more or less safe than the Uitenhage - PE...

    Re: Uitenhage to J'Bay - R334

Only take the R334 from Uitenhage to the N2. From there take the N2 up to the JBay turn off. Fastest option

Albert. I've never seen a petrol injector so stuck that you need a sliding hammer. Have you tried tapping it with a rubber mallet? Side to side

If I have to buy with my heart, the Everest it will be. If with the head, then the Fortuner. So the Pajero and MUX are the choices then I suppose!;D

    Preferably:)

My suggestion assumes that you can actually swing the engine without damaging anything else. I don't know what else has been disconnected/taken apart!

    Re: Stuck injector

Chuck a blanket over the injector to break its momentum when it comes out. Then swing the engine. Compression often pushes it out. Since it's petrol I don't think it will be stuck too badly. Although...

It's a petrol engine. Should not be too bad. I should have mentioned the blanket yes.

    Re: Huge land rover dilemma

I doubt the drum brake is too small. In my 110 it worked very well. I think it is more a case of when applying the handbrake on uneven ground, you also have to lock the CD. Otherwise if one wheel...

Re: The new Hilux has arrived...

If you are talking auto, it is also the same gearbox used in the new Isuzu Dmax as well as the new Triton. So can't be that bad!
  18. Re: Some more thinking... Some more of your thoughts please.

Jeez! I tried to ask an honest, harmless question and also tried to explain that. No snigger in my tone at all.

    Re: CampTech Tent repairs

Do you need a capable 4x4 on a daily basis? Or can a small car for instance serve your daily transport requirements?

    If you...

    Re: BF Goodrich KO2.

I have been using BFG for years. Very happy. In the last week had to fit Coopers though due no availability of BFG in the size I required, either KO2 or3. Will have to see how the Coopers do.

Having owned both Prado and Patrol, I'd be hesitant to just swop the one for the other. Depends what your needs are. They are two very different vehicles.
