    Re: 2019 Cruiser 79 questions

The reason I went with the Infanta Inkunzi is due to comfort and weight, basically fitting a caravan on the back of the Cruiser. They just developed a carbon fibre and composite materials unit that...

    Re: 2019 Cruiser 79 questions

    Thanks for all the advice.

I picked the 79 up yesterday and yes, it's a dog. (dog = "blank canvass"). The FJ and Kavango will go up for sale soon to pay for all the upgrades. This is what it...

    Re: 2019 Cruiser 79 questions

This is my concern as well. I found this clip from PDP on H151 to H152 swap with 285/75/16 tyres. 400 rpm gain at 110 km/h.

    Re: 2019 Cruiser 79 questions

Official reply from Toyota tech department. All 79 series in SA are standard with H151 gearbox, however they can change the 2nd and 5th gear on a new vehicle and the warranty won't be affected. ...

    Re: 2019 Cruiser 79 questions

Kenskind, dankie vir die verduideliking. Die plan is om n camper agterop die Cruiser te sit en nie tou nie. Ek dink 265/75/16 is n beter keuse, dan kan die standaard rims vir eers bly. Die Cruiser is...

    Re: 2019 Cruiser 79 questions

Francois, dit klink goed. Ek het n armdraai nodig om al daai geld uit te haal, die nuwe box kan dit dalk net doen.

Hoe sal ek weet dis die H152 box? Dalk meng Toyota nog hulle stock.

I read an Aus article that referred to gearbox ratio changes in the 2017 and newer models. Ours don't have it?

    2019 Cruiser 79 questions

    Good day

I'm in the final stages of buying a new 79 V8 and fitting a camper on the back.

I've researched many threads here on the the engine and drive train related upgrades for the V8 (Fuel...
  13. Re: How my VX200 Cruza evolved in 6 months - pic heavy

Thanks for the feedback. I agree with both of you, will not sell the FJ. I bought it new in 2011, currently with 115k km on the clock with no issues what so ever. I was thinking of buying the 200 for...
  14. Re: How my VX200 Cruza evolved in 6 months - pic heavy

I've also been looking at 200s lately. Possibly to have a dual purpose vehicle, towing and occasionally fitting a RTR (mounted to the garage ceiling) for weekend trips. Also to increase comfort...

    Re: D707 to Gobabis

The FJ will be serviced in Gobabis. Previously stayed at Lake Oanob, good for a stopover, but we'd rather be way out of town.

Thanks Tony, Tsauchab looks like the answer.

    D707 to Gobabis

    Ngami Toyota Maun

Are they a professional outfit? The FJ Cruiser will need a 110k km service (not major only oil change/filters) during my upcoming trip.

    Sesriem to Spitzkoppe

Is there a way to get from Sesriem to Spitzkoppe without going via Walvis or the B1? Gravel roads are not a problem, but I am towing. Not too keen on really tough mountain passes.

Ek stem ook nie saam met die redeneering nie.

    Ek...

Apparently there is no TRD charger for the 200kW FJ engine, only for the 175kW that's in the pre 2010 FJ's (or same as the Hilux and 120 Prado)
