    I just noticed

    How come the white one has these lights on the rear wings and the others only has the low lights in the bumpers? Looks like they just put a blanking plate where the lights are...

    Interesting so the lens will fit if you chop off the reverse light - but how about the screws are they spaced the same?

    All I need is the left side reverse light fitting and the lense. Not sure...

    Them tyres looks just too small insidethose fat wheel arches.

    So when the money boat comes around again (and doesnt sink) - what is the biggest size tyres I can fit on...

    So the gearbox wont go bang anytime soon?

    Guy I knew had a Defender 110 td5 that also had gearbox wine, did all new bearings and basically reconditioned whole box, and it still did it afterwards...

    Managed to source a set of Monroe shocks for the rear end... R2300 later - OUCH !

    Anyhow, at least I installed front and rear myself, and saved a few R's on labour.

    Well, all I know is this stuff is moer heavy and very hard - an axe doesnt even dent it when I attempt to split some.

    Like I said I am no wood expert, but this wood make a very nice long lasting...

    I bought a couple bags hardekool yesterday from someone who brought it from Phalaborwa.

    Its dry wood that was picked up, not new trees being chopped down as it would take probably 20 years for...

    Ja look I'm not unimpressed with the power of the engine, it pulls nicely and the vehicle is not very heavy. Just thought a bigger exhaust one day will help it along a bit.

    I took the number in your post to Midas / Autozone but they said its the wrong Gabriel for this vehicle according to their books - G56173, but it should be G63935 for front and G63936 for rears,...

    Managed to get a pair of KYB shock for the nose and fitted them - wasn't sure I could DIY it because lets just say spanners and me don't mix all that well ;D

    But it was rather easy - hardest part...

    Cant quite see a name on them anymore they a bit old and oily and dirty - they are white though so I'm guessing some Gabriel type.

    I want to go buy new ones, but too lazy to first take old ones...
