    Re: Avoiding solar power throwaway

Ok, so checking all the suggestions... :)

    - Our irrigation/water pump may be set too early, before sun is high enough. Will check on that, ta.
    - Only 6 neighbours and they would have very little...

    Re: Jockey Wheels

The contact surface area remains the same, irrespective of how far apart the wheels are. Either use wider wheels, more wheels, or deflate ;D

    Re: Telescopic Camp Light

Hoe wyd skyn dit? Sou mens dit bv. kon gebruik in KNP as jy langs 'n heining kamp, en dan bo-oor die heining wil verlig sonder om jouself of mede-kampers te verlig?

    Avoiding solar power throwaway

So, when the batteries get fully charged and the house runs off panels in the daytime, how do you utilise the extra solar power? Assuming that you cannot pump power back into the grid. Not buying...

  8. Re: Is a portable braai a necessity when overlanding.

We have the older model, without controllable air vents like the new Premier Air. I would be tempted to look at that one - I like being able to tone down the temperature a bit, like with the kettle...

Dis jammer ek het nie geweet jy stel belang in die Cobb toe ons by die kamp ontmoet het nie - die Cobb was by ons.

Re: Jackery 500 vs Flexpower lithium444

555 looks nice. I like the ZA plugs - just hope they are modular so you can swop them out for the coming new standard plug.

I wonder if the 555 size will still be ammo box compatible. The 444 you...

    Re: Weber Q gas braai

I love the Q2200. Great especially for steaks :-)

Sometimes I find it a bit hot though for slower cooks, even on its lowest setting. But a roasting rack and shield helps for that.

    Re: Good Tyre Pump........Pointers?

Different price class, but consider the ARB on-board jobbies as well.

Heads-up for all the snoozers... 27 April is on a Tuesday this year. Do your bookings for that long weekend NOW ;D
Unfortunately 1 May falls on a Saturday, so no public holiday mileage from that.

Re: What do you want from ablutions

    Agreed.

Just make it spacious. I hate these setups where you have to exit your shower to change your mind. And making something one bricklength wider, well that's the cheapest option on your cost...
