Happened to mine as well with trailer up inclines e.g. du toitskloof pass a few weekend ago.

Was in manual mode and it shifted by itself from 4th to 2nd while casually going up , suddenly revs...

No issues. Use for camp/trips etc. and as an extra fridge at home.

As far as i know the previous sets were the originals.

Ok here it is... Sorry for the wait.

Front shocks replaced at 165040km, sept 2017. Cost R3670. Part nr AU360886.

Rear done 197300 km. July 2019. R2500 unsure of part number.

Car now on...

Sorry i will check my files, cannot recall the exact numbers.

Rear shocks was about 5 months ago at more or less 195000KM. cost was R2500 fitted.

Will get back to you on the Monroe.

I've got monroe gas magnum up front. Happy. About two years i think now.

Recently only replaced the original rear shocks and opted for KYB. I'm happy.

My use sounds more or less same as yours.
