Glad everybody is ok. Reinforces why I like big heavy vehicles. My son wrote off his Pajero a few weeks ago - did it’s job protecting him.

yes, all received in good order. There were some delays in them receiving from DNWP, but they kept following up and got them to us. No issues.
Our experience with them has been very good. We now have everything for our 3 week trip to CKGR and Okavango in June. Good service no issues.
Cant wait!!!
They can’t be as obnoxious as Brits in costa del sol. I’ve met a lot of really cool and fun Russians. They have a great perspective on life. Sure, there are some obnoxious ones. Plenty of...
yeah if you want butter sidewalls. Just in the process of buying g 18” rims for my D4 so I can finally be done with those garbage tyres.
Hello Steve - thanks for the reply.
Snorkel and FR roof rack. Paint is in rough condition - cracks, etc... No bare aluminium, but definitely lots of time sitting in the sun. Its the light cream...
I bought the WRND version of this - and when I took it apart to splice in a remote on/off switch, I noticed a number of areas where hot glue or some sort of clear silicone had been applied to circuit...
I have a mid-sized Thule - you’re more than welcome to borrow for testing etc... DM if interested - it’s in Midrand. Not sure the model but it’s about 45% the width of a typical roof, and a bit...
Sent PM - def. interested.
Would be a great alternative to the golden leopard-run one at Manyane which we have written off due to the noise from the night club, especially on weekends...unless it is similarly afflicted by...
Will SA accept the rapid test? Used to be PCR only? But I did hear there was some testing available at land borders, and I’d think the only thing that would make sense there is the rapid... or is...
Bump...? Any opinions?
Have u had it a while? Last time I looked at pricing on it at front runner it was a ...wow...
InReach over spot any day - far more capable device - but the sat phone rental will be cheaper than buying. If you will use it more than one or two trips, have a look at the Garmin 66i which will...
Buy a disco 3/4/5 and IID tool. Adjust air suspension.

Around 150k but that was before I had Overlandworx go thru it and find the list of current issues. The owner is not really sure on value either. I’d envision fixing it up and sending it back to the...
So I realize the real answer to a question like this is, whatever someone will pay for it.
1997 Defender TDI 110 about 380,000 km. Average condition for age. Runs fine, but brakes, steering...
I left my transformer in - it was a mission to get it out because of how it was installed. Simply connected the new battery charger to the AC breaker. That Victron is Bluetooth, so you can mount it...
Indeed- that’s the basic setup. Does the van have wiring to the front to connect to the vehicle via BH plugs, and does the vehicle have powe routed back there?
yes. That’s what mine had. Very bad for battery life, too. Any smart charger (ctek, victron) will do a much better job. Consider contacting Jacques at Bushpower. He can supply the victron at a...
Much depends on the year. My 2012 came standard with a “dumb” battery charger that looks like it was engineered in the 70s. Garbage. If it still has something like that in, yank it immediately and...
Agree.
That is a beautiful car. I had the boring Q5 2.0 - probably the best car I’ve ever owned. 4 years - not a single, solitary, issue. Zero. And happy all day in Germany at 190km/h plus.
We got stuck there briefly in a D4 - but towing an off-road caravan, and even then only because someone on an ATV pulled out from a blind spot which caused a quick stop.
I emailed him - he’s aware of the issue. Google DNS.
A friend has skycamper /ikamper and I used it for a while. Ridiculously expensive prices, and the mattress is terrible. Yet, not enough room inside to leave a topper in. But the big one is huge -...
Bundutop. 100%. Main disadvantage is it takes most of your roof rack, relative to others that fold.
Which is why I believe it is a DNS issue for some of us.
I have no answer but I must just say I am jealous!!! Safe travels - what a beautiful place. Good luck.
I forwarded a link to this thread to him.
Quite sure we would find if we compared DNS servers that this would be the issue. That’s the DNS job - to match plain text web URL to IP address. Could test if I had the IP of the site. May be...
It’s really quite strange - no connectivity issues my side and I’ve tried on phone and desktop. I wonder if it has to do with different DNS settings. I use google - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4. - zero...
Not perfect:
Does not work for me either...
Agree. We have good luck with Leopards around Berg en Dal.
