    Re: Lithium and trickle charger...?

Ok, mostly refers to solar controllers . But the data sheet of the IP65 says 13.5V for float charging.

    Re: Lithium and trickle charger...?

What I understand from Victron is that they just lower the float charge volt setting that it basically cannot charge. For storage its better to disconnect.

Poll: Re: New GWM P Series or Used Hilux?

I am sure the P series will compete much better then the first GWM we got here. We bought one, was better on fuel then the hilux's, but for the rest no competition. It was abandoned at 100k km:).

  10. Poll: Re: Namibians & their 12V Fridges: User Reviews, service etc.

Engel is expensive as said. Snomaster had no 'good service' here, next choice is NL.
  11. Re: NL Weekender with 90W solar panel & controller ONLY ?

Assuming the fridge draws about 2.7 amps when running. The 90 watt panel will provide max about 5 amps (PWM charger) .

We recently seen that in clear sky the controller (mppt) only provides max...

Yes, got most of the time the same max output (73%) from the charger, irrespective the SOC or load, as the battery was about almost never full.

Checked with a battery at 50% and Victron 100/30 smart solar charger. With the temperatures there you struggle to get a battery even close to absorption.

Dont think its the weld at the hub, that's further away from the leaf spring. Doubt if the weld of the saddle can weaken the casing, but that must have been a ###### knock to do that anyway.
