    If you change your pads and discs its important to bed them in properly. If you don't, they can develop a shudder.

    I did some rough stuff in my T1 like yours- Richtersveld pulling and echo 3, moz thick sand and dunes, a couple of 4x4 courses.

    I think it would be possible to just replace the actuator as with some of the V6 tdi touaregs, however, there is an issue with calibrating it with a special tool- not sure if this would be the case...

    you can buy an aux cable that fits into the connection in the cubby hole, R 400 from any Audi or vw dealer, you also get an adapter for a usb on this cable.

    I've had this before, thin coat of sand/mud on the inside of the rims that almost needed to be chiseled off. Hi pressure spray got it off at close range.

    After 6000km and 3 months of ownership my V8 Tdi is on par with consumption like my bks v6 tdi was ( more or less)

    on cruise control at 125km per hour it gets 11 to 12 km per liter

    around town...
