Re: Canopy air vents for positive pressure

Jip, this one works well. But try to seal your tailgate just so that less air escapes than what the scoop forces in. Positive pressure equals no dust...

    Re: Reversing a trailer ??

I also do the "hand at the bottom of the steering wheel" thing. Simply turn hand in the direction you want a trailer to go. Of course, you must also be aware that if a trailer is almost jack-knifed,...

Colt 3l v6 oil pressure gauge

Quick question..... Has anyone replaced the inclinometer on the dash with oil pressure gauge? My inclinometer still works perfectly but I would find an actual oil pressure gauge much more useful.

Re: Best, most cost effective deep cycle batteries.

NOoooo, If I were you, I would cancel and buy 50% of the battery bank Ah but in Lithium. Just ensure Canbus compatibility with your inverter.

Re: Best, most cost effective deep cycle batteries.

My Sunny Island was initially set to only use 30% of the battery bank..... and this typically got us through a night. If we needed more than 30% before the PVs kicked in, it went back to eskom. This...

Re: Best, most cost effective deep cycle batteries.

All that I can add is be careful of lead acid batteries... I have just sold 8 OmniPower 260Ah batteries as scrap for R10 per kg. They were 4 years old, only cycled to70% SoC for an absolute max of...

    Lithium Ion Batteries

My 8 x 260Ah Sinetech solar batteries seem to be at end of life. In fact, 3 of them are at around 7volt after load shedding, another 2 at around 10volt and the rest at 12.4volt. They are cabled in 2...

    Talk about miniature!!!

Your combined battery pack will give you 12v / 14ah

And the little panel will give you 14.?v at 0.41ah

So all is fine, recharging will take a llooonnngggg time...

Re: Echo 5 trailer solar solutions

I will always prefer PV, Botswana should have enough sunshine. Modern gennies are supposedly "quiet", but they still require servicing ..... a solar setup should be easier.
