Re: Power upgrade on race car

have you tried reducing the plug gaps?

    Re: Changed Fortuner for Hilux

    Congrats

    I did just about the same. Changed my 2006 4x4 D4D Tuna for a 2.8 GD6 4x4 Hilux.

I absolutely love the Hilux. The power delivery is awesome!

Things I miss from the Tuna are leather...

Re: Would you help someone in distress? My story….

I think it will work provided you have signal from some network. does not need to be from Your network. You dont even need a SIM card in the phone, but it has to see some sort of signal

Re: Would you help someone in distress? My story….

Two things I'm taking out of it:

2 - carry extra water with me

Regarding your question, yes i would help out if i...

  7. Re: Loose driver seat metal sound Hilux 2018 2.4 GD6 DC

Now that you mention it, I had a canopy fitted. They would have done wiring to the high level brake light. All makes sense now. Thanks
  8. Re: Loose driver seat metal sound Hilux 2018 2.4 GD6 DC

are loose bolts a thing on the Revo?
On mine the tail light nearly fell off coz one bolt came loose and fell out and the second one was just about to before a friend noticed it
  9. Re: VW Citi Golf 1.4i 2007 revs to and stays at 3000rpm after touching the throttle

it is a cable driven throttle? If so, check that the cable is running freely. But as mentioned, start with cleaning the throttle body.

Re: Power upgrade on race car

That must be a really big turbo. Power is coming on late in the rev range. Hows that going to be on track? Will need to keep the revs high to remain in the power band.

    Re: Engine Braking vs Brakes

I've done it all my life. Never had any engine or gearbox failure.

Newer vehicles come with a rev-match feature which will blip the throttle so you can change down gears easier.

    Re: Ponta Malongane Tips

    just to add.

We stayed at Coco Rico. R2500/night for a 8 sleeper with 3 double beds, 1 bunk bed and 3 bathrooms. Very well kept and clean.

    I'd definitely stay there again.
