  3. Re: Front Runner Stainless Steel Camp Table Kit

The large table stores in the rack with the top up. So basically dust gets all over it. But that washes off easy. The mount is adjustable, and its a bit of balance between too snug (no rattles,...
  4. Re: Front Runner Stainless Steel Camp Table Kit

I have the full size table, and the older table - both fit in the roof rack on my D4. PM me if you want to chat about them - I will give you my WhatsApp.

The full size table is very well made and...

    Re: Huge land rover dilemma

We do not normally - unless very steep (it was, where we got stuck in this case) - probably also part of the issue - very rarely used.
  11. Re: Namibia re-opens to international tourists 1 Sept

I'd think anybody would be just guessing at this point. If I were to guess, I would guess:

    - Yes, via the 18 borders that were open previously for freight.

    Re: Huge land rover dilemma

The drive unit, as far as I understand it, gets full of dirt and jams. The gears in there are plastic, and strip. There are replacement gears made from metal aftermarket.

    Irritatingly, the...

    Re: Leisure travel to Botswana.

Perhaps because nobody else on here asked for a refund. So, if you asked an operator for a refund, and they refused, and the terms of sale were such that a refund was available, then you should...

Re: Jeep Cherokee to Discovery 4 V8

lol. Having owned both, they both have their upsides and downsides. My grand Cherokee (2010) was one of the most unreliable vehicles I ever owned and was crap off road (of course, came after owning...

    Re: Leisure travel to Botswana.

I think the issue is that the problems you are commenting on are not widely experienced. We had no issues, many others had no issues, rescheduling. I didn’t even think of asking for a refund,...

Re: Silent generator/inverter or solar panel

The fold up panels actually ride in between the stacked mattresses - nothing else will fit there - so for me it works. We also RTT camp sometimes too so itís good to have the flexibility. The...

Also - consider using the fold-up ones so that you can put the panels in the sun, and stay in the shade - unless you want to put panels on the roof AND have portables. Very rarely do I find myself...

Re: Jeep Cherokee to Discovery 4 V8

As a small data point I do not get 11.5 out of my D4 3.0 SDV6 diesel. More like 12.5-13. If I had it to do over again I would have gone v8. As u said, got to drive ALOT of Kms for there to be any...

To me Waze is best on road (app for Android or iPhone). Based on google maps but has better traffic rerouting, as it uses live data also from users, and gives info on police and other hazards. Good...

    Re: Roof Boxes

I have one we don't use anymore - a Thule.

We used it in northern EU, lots of rain!! And it seals tight. We actually took it with us into Bots (CKGR) before we added a roof rack.

    If you're...
