    Navara in the US

So in the USA they are still selling the previous shape Navara as the frontier. They will get the "new" Navara soon, with some changes including a petrol engine. Weird how the US are getting old...

Re: What happened to the Renault Alaskan??

I doubt we'll see it here. After the failure of the X class, and Nissan/Renault alliance financial issues it doesn't really make sense to sell in SA, especially as the Navara itself sells very...

Those are KYB shocks, I'd be very surprised if you could not have them ordered from a Midas or similar.

This. You mentioned you loosened the seat. Sometimes the connections get corroded over time. Unplug, clean and fit again.

    Re: Spur Hot Rock

Wow spur hot rock! From like 20 years ago! If I remember correctly it was actually a thick piece of cast iron that was moer hot. The salt slabs should work. Heat it in the oven.

Makes a hell of a difference to bread! Initially it can be difficult to keep it going as you use it. But nothing a bit of time cant fix.

Yes that's the nice thing about the ARB couplings, they are not as obscure to find parts for when compared to the Chinese compressors.

    Re: Everest - 3.2 or 2.2BiT

The 2.0 will change gears more often as the peak torque band is narrower than 3.2. That's why it has 10 gears after all. From reviews ive read the fuel consumption is not that much lower than 3.2,...

At 120k km definitely change all 4 shocks, they are not expensive. You can buy at midas / naskar and have them and lift installed at a supaquick or similar. Definitely dont buy shocks from dealer....

  25. Re: 2018 Grand Vitara. Buying one and I have some questions.

The GV in standard form isn't really suitable for trails or thick sand with deep tracks. You must get the 40mm lift from Stofpad or Wizerd. It is not expensive but very worth while. With the lift it...
  26. Re: 2018 Grand Vitara. Buying one and I have some questions.

That one looks good, only thing that really comes to mind is shocks, but that would be checked at roadworthy anyway. And make sure they change spark plugs at next service which is 105k km as per the...

Re: Ryobi RG9600k generator trips inverter

Generators without avr are crude devices, typically used for welding etc. If you have a genny less than about 15 years old chances are very good it has avr even if it doesnt say so explicitly.

Re: Ryobi RG9600k generator trips inverter

No,the voltage will not be affected. Voltage is managed by the avr (which is also adjustable btw). Obviously if the speed is set very low it will start impacting voltage. The avr regulates the...
