Re: TLF Bronco vs Wrangler vs LR DEfender

In the long term: yes, I predict a MUCH better resale than the ND
As a bragging right vehicle: for sure
    Offroad? Definitely.

TFL will probably get one sometime.

Re: TLF Bronco vs Wrangler vs LR DEfender

I don't mind the ND. I just don't agree that it is worth the money. It is basically what the D5 should have been.

The ND should have been a stripped down D3/4 with rubber mats and a better engine...

If you had any idea, you'd know I have as well. More LR products than Jeep. I have no dog in this hunt. My opinion is that Bruce is justifying his very expensive purchase, as I suppose is his right....

    I don't own a Rubicon. Comparing a standard 2012 R400k JKUS to a 2021 R1.4m ND might be a touch silly?

Re: TLF Bronco vs Wrangler vs LR DEfender

I reckon a D4 is a better vehicle than the ND. I really can't see what the ND offers over a D4 apart from some very high end tech that is pretty pointless for most people.

    Fortuner Re: Fortuner battery replacement

Put a set of jumpers on it to another battery and see if it changes. If so, battery CCA not good or too little.

What you can't deny: if you throw another R500k at a JLUR there is no way the overpriced ND will get close to it on or off road and we're not even mentioning the 392 Hemi here.

    I have a 1.1kW 3ph pump running at 230m..........

Cheaper to leave it be and put in a 3ph inverter and panels than to try buy and run a solar pump solution at that depth.

    yes indeed

The solar pumps can run at varying speeds AFAIK.

Just be careful though: there is a limit to the head height.
