  1. Ford & Mazda Re: FORD RANGER 4X4 2.2 MANUAL VS AUTO? Which wold you choose and why

    I had a 3.2 4x4 MT and an old 3.0 4x2 Everest MT.

Ford & Mazda Re: Everest 2.2L or 3.2L which to get ?

    I drive 2.2 A/T (4x2) Everest and 3.2 A/T (4x4) Ranger.
People saying that the 2.2 is as strong as the 3.2 most probably have not driven both extensively. The 2.2 is lively and responsive and the...

    Re: Hill descent co trol

HDC is maybe more for an automatic vehicle (I think), although they are also braked well by their engines these days especially in 4L.
I use me HDC in 4L at certain down hills (I have a 3.2 A/T...

    Re: Hill descent co trol

HDC is very easy to use.
Can be in 4H or 4L (I think it should also work in 2H, but when you need HDC you are most probably in 4H or 4L already).
Keep in gear, as the engine compression also helps...
