My mate replaced his Ranger 3.0 clutch with a Flint kit, no flywheel just the pressure plate, friction plate and release bearing, wasn't terribly expensive.
And the pathetic engine outputs???
Why not just make this the new Vitara, and give us a "Grand" Vitara with at least some offroad ability.
Coolant usually every 2 years
...and I am dissapointed

Personally I would keep looking for a Summit rather than the Dune
If its the 2.5 TD then make sure the radiator has the correct 5mm fin height and has a 32mm thick core
I have a friend who has one built about 1.2m diameter, but at waist height. Great for a braai but terrible for sitting around, I would go no higher than say knee height. For reference, he built his...
Like parked next to (or on top of ;D) a Ranger
Having bought 4 used cars and having the various finance institutions push me into aftermarket warranties from 4 different providers, and not having a single successful claim from any of them, I...
Maybe go into the menu and change the units to some thing else and see if it decides to work again?
Is there a part number printed on it somewhere?
That looks pretty good
People place far far too much importance on max figures, what is much more important is how and where the power is delivered. If you have a solid 100kw across say a 3000rpm band, that will be much...
Someone on another thread mentioned the need to loadshed based on keeping the diesel generators turning at a consistent 3000rpm/50hz and too much demand stuffs this up. If outside of the schedule or...
A few good diy kits on Amazon, some universal and some vehicle/wheel specific. Not sure how good you need to be with the old needle & thread but have seen vids and it doesn't look terribly...
Judging by a lot of recent forum posts re 2.4 GD6 vs 2.8GD6, people are super scared that anything less than 150kw will get overtaken by a 1.3 Tazz resulting in coveted man-cards being taken away...
830,000 units of the first gen sold in roughly 10 or 11 years, for their first attempt at a proper bakkie, i really don't think that counts as "not selling in the rest of the world". Also they moved...
those wheels :cool:8-)
I dismiss the Merc/Navara thing because Merc approached the whole thing with the wrong goal and mindset, I think they aimed squarely at the top of the food chain and spec'd and priced the X-class as...
Brand preference and looks will be a major factor. BT50 was a Ranger underneath, but they could hardly pay people to take them off the showroom floor.
Also depends who does what with regards to...
Old article, but looks to be +-R150k

I once went camping many years ago with an old girlfriend, my car decided to break a few days before so we took her Picanto. After pitching the nice big tent and unpacking everything, I realised the...
Looks great:cool: I think they are going to be snapped up quickly
An option perhaps...?

Not at all, only 10mm taller but a bit of squish when fitted so diameter is almost identical. Can feel they're a bit heavier but not enough to make things unpleasant.
Yes I have, commuted for 2+ years on an LS125 2 stroke when I was an appy, also spent some time with an SV650 and an early R1, and had a dirt bike probably 10 years ago.
I know you don't want to change wheel size, but I managed to pick up a set of 16" SX4 rims for R2000 a while back and a set of Kumho AT51's for just over R5000, compared to current prices for 18"...
Not surprising, the people that still have money are desperate to show off that they have money, and I reckon half of those sold will never see more than a dirt road. BUT for the other half that will...
Obviously a part of it  Haven't had a bike in nearly 10 years, the want is strong...
Twice the price of a KLR (from the few ads I've seen) and doesn't tickle my pickle at all for some reason...
Colleague has one, boring as hell I might as well get a scooter then, also upwards...
This stuff is awesome
Very valid point. The last 7km of my morning drive there's 7 traffic lights, and this bit is easily 45min worth of idling and being near-stationary for a long while, and seeing many 2 wheelers...
You don't save fuel on a bike. vs a 3.2 v6.....?
Ok, maybe if driving a scooter yes, but I was at the garage non stop when commuting with my bike. Not sure why. I think there was something wrong...
