    Re: 2019 Jimny packing/overlanding thread

There was a thread about a 65l tank for the Jimny available from Oz. Not sure that it is for this very latest version, or the immediately proceeding one.

If I had a Jimny and habitually did long...

Re: Suzuki Grand Vitara 3.2 V6 Upgrades

Seriously, how about keeping some money to be able to actually go somewhere?
  6. Re: N3 Bridge demolition at Hammarsdale 26th October 2019

That is the one that I saw - thanks.

Some one I know has convinced himself otherwise. I think he has got his wires crossed?

Re: Suzuki Grand Vitara 3.2 wheel alignment

One needs to find a reliable tyre place and stick with them.

Although my local place is a franchise of one of the big groups, it is otherwise a bit of a mom and pop place. I do everything for...

  9. N3 Bridge demolition at Hammarsdale 26th October 2019

Notifications I have seen are that the N3 carriageways will be closed from 20H00 on Friday, 25th October and that traffic will be diverted.

Now someone is saying there is a rumour the closure will...

    Re: Buying second hand tyres

To me, tyres are one of the most important things on the vehicle. It amazes me that people who may be quite happy to spend thousands on mods and / or are driving a vehicle that costs maybe > R500k...

    Re: SX4 4x4 Soft Sand

Perhaps there is a place near to your destination accommodation where you could park the S4 safely and do the last bit all in the other vehicle? I don't know the area.

    Re: SX4 4x4 Soft Sand

    I agree with Jelo.

Conventional platkar has nowhere near the clearance, and then you need to let the tyres down as well. So easy to end up grounded on the belly with wheels turning in the air. 4X4...

Re: Discovery broker in Krugersdoro ?

The best way to try and move Discovery is to try and create a public uproar.

Doesn't always work, but you can try.

Re: Ridiculous maintenance cost of Freelander II

Re: Ridiculous maintenance cost of Freelander II

You said it yourself - the Ranger installment would be R2 800 per month more and you would be locked into that contract for longer. So at present you have that amount to spend on maintaining the FL2...

Thanks for the interesting info on both the places you visited.

Let us know how the Kosi trip went, too?

  26. Re: Namibia trip planning, Dec 2019, the south west
