    We have had 2 Mitsubishi Outlanders and are very happy. Around town our Outlander usually return 10 l/100kms. A heavy right foot will cost you at the petrol station. Very spacious vehicle too.

    I am sure manufacturers would have stopped making them if that was really the case. Any transmission will have a breaking point and should be treated with care.

    Buy 16 inch Mitsubushi Lancer rims and fit 16" tyres. They fit beautifully. Fit all terrain tyres and have the peace of mind when traversing bad dirt roads (and pot-holes in town) In some markets...

    Another aspect to consider is how long would the fuel saving take to cover the cost of the conversion. Obviously high mileage would get to the break-even point sooner.
