    you should be able to get your hands on some zinc anodes at any decent marine supplier. Bolted under the water line to protect steel hulls, props shatfs etc.

    The turbo could be passing excessive oil. If compression was down i would expect the engine to feel pap... not have "oomf" as you describe.
    worth pulling your intercooler and checking for oil. also...

    This is what i ordered from LP4A in 2016.
    for the fronts i got NRC9449 & NRC9448 @ R400 each
    Rears NRC6389 & NRC6904 @ R700 each

    Its worth noting that i have a 3 door hard top with no rear seats...

    If your vehicle is not sagging then the bottoming out is more likely an issue with your shocks.

    The TDV6 is not known for reliability or reasonable maintenance costs... if you are really comparing it to a freelander then i think you have missed the bus on this one.
