This is true if your expectation is to speak to him on the phone. You're almost never going to call the reception phone and find he is available. Best is to drop him a WhatsApp and he will reply or...

Re: Fug IT ..... or not?!?!

My owner's manual specifically says not to use those things. They probably know better than me, so I just stick to that.

Re: Car jammer at the office. Is there any hope?

Nonsense. Modern systems use rolling codes that change every time they are used. They can record whatever they want, whatever they get is not useful in any way.
  5. Re: Tentco Senior Wanderer with delux extension setup

Thanks. I'll have to see if I can get this separately. I never got this with my Gumtree version.
  6. Re: Tentco Senior Wanderer with delux extension setup

Either that's new or the original owner of mine lost it.
  7. Re: Tentco Senior Wanderer with delux extension setup

Do you have a photo? Either they changed the design or we're not talking about the same thing. My extension ends in a long piece that is used instead of the tent's own skullcap. It has 2 longish...

Yeah, I don't understand. Locked by key...... what does jamming have to do with it then?

Grand Cherokee Re: Is it worth it....?

I don't think I said that, just said that the 2 are completely unrelated. I haven't heard bad things about the new one, certainly not the kind of horror stories you hear about the older VM Motoris...

Grand Cherokee Re: Is it worth it....?

There was never a VM Motori motor in the Discos. That was a Ford/Peugeot joint venture and ended up being used in various Land Rover, Ford, Jaguar, Citroen and Peugeot models.

What part of the VM A630 is based on the Merc OM642? Iron block vs Aluminium, 60° 'V' vs. 72°. They aren't related.

The A630 has its roots in pre-bankruptcy GM, who were co-developing it with VM...

Re: WJ Jeep Transfer case oil replacement

The chap at the Ravenol shop told me the same. Says he has been selling UTTO as a replacement fluid for the QD1 and QD2 transfer cases for quite some time.

Yes, but needn't be that R352/L nonsense. Ravenol and LiquiMoly should have something far better on the pocket. Ravenol's retail shop is in Obs, very nice bunch of people they are. Liqui Moly stuff...

Based on the distinctive 'V' marking on the head, Rhombic Night Adder.

Cytotoxic venom that will cause pain and swelling mostly. Can be dangerous for kids and deadly for smaller dogs.

Re: WK grand, max tyre size for spare?

Do you have the standard tow hitch installed? I'm thinking back now and I think that was where it was a little tight for me, so perhaps without one it will fit nicely.

Re: WK grand, max tyre size for spare?

I had 255/60R18 (30") and it just barely fit under there. If you stow your spare in semi-deflated state........ maayyyyybe it would fit, but I doubt it. I had a rear spare carrier made with my bumper...

I don't believe this is true at all. Any expert care to chime in?

This is the real reason for solid vs. stranded core as far as I know.

Pretty much this. I made a 10m lead with 6mm and the voltage drop is negligible.

Rockauto has a few remanufactured options, and 1 new. Prices between $200 and $370. With fees, VAT and duties it should still be about half the dealers' price even if you take the most expensive one....

Grand Cherokee Re: 2005 WK 3.0 CRD Battery Light

12.1V is way too low. It sounds like your alternator is dead and the battery is nearly flat. A full battery should read around 12.7/12.8V and an alternator should supply between 13.5V and 14.7V...
