    Re: Grand Vitara Fuel Consumption

My 3.2 was around 13-14l/100 in town and 11 on the open road driving at the speed limit. 9.5-10 at 100km/h. From what I've heard, the 2.4 isn't much lighter.

Re: The Volkswagen up! as a viable city car choice

As a Golf VII owner, I agree. Well very nearly. The softer materials especially on the doors in the Golf (not as prone to getting scratched by my dogs) plus boot size is about the only reason why I...
  4. Re: Fuel saving tips from the community for the community

I commute by bike and fuel consumption doesn't tell the whole story. When you factor in tyre life and chain and sprockets, using a small economical car is far cheaper than commuting by bike. A set of...

Did YOU buy your VW based on fuel economy???

I bought my Golf VII 1.4 for economy but not because I saw any stats. Got 6.3/100 on the highway with cruise control on 120. Half of what my previous car used to use

    Re: NEW 2018 Suzuki Jimny

I know I'm kidding of course. I thought that was a little more obvious. Although in reality I had my GV for 3 or 4 years and the worst it saw was gravel passes. I wasn't however kidding about the...

    Re: NEW 2018 Suzuki Jimny

I am a softy customer. I basically want everything the swift has tech wise but in the shape of a Jimny. What is this low range business? Who needs it? Something that looks funky, can hop sidewalks...

    Re: NEW 2018 Suzuki Jimny

We tested the current Jimny auto last weekend and my only two complaints were lack of interior creature comforts and the fact that it is just that little bit too slow. And that is directly comparing...
  10. Re: Suzuki Celerio 2018 - 1st Hand Impressions Please??

We have a 1.5GLS Swift and it's an absolutely fantastic little car. I tried convincing my wife to trade hers for a 1.6 sport but she just loves it too much

    3.2 GV Value

Rarely see them on the market and when you do, prices vary a lot. What is a realistic asking price for a V6 GV with 160 000kms on the clock?

Re: Grand Vitara? Duster? What else?

    Re: Suzuki GV Overheating

No they didn't (couldn't) tell me what the cause was. It was on +- 135000kms and it's a 2009 model. I did only buy it a few months before that with just over 130000kms on the clock and happened on...

Re: Absence of Triumph Adventure Bikes

Re: Which bike tyres to buy?

Agree. The offroad benefit is marginal though. I am personally not a fan of E07/K60/Kenda Big Block type tyres. Depends on your riding style too of course but I'd sacrifice mileage for grip 9 times...
