    My T2 V8, compressor is far noisier that my V6 bks tdi's compressor was. Also does not do a pssst air release sound after a long trip when the suspension level.

    A touareg 3.0 tdi with air suspension - I once towed my pajero IO all the way from JHB to Swaziland on a car trailer and did not notice it impede even going up steep hills.

    I had three serpentine belt failures as a symptom of a small oil leak somewhere inside the V of the engine. (around the oil cooler)
