    Thats pretty good!

    I average 10.5km/l on my daily commute, 50/50 mixture of bumper to bumper crawling and open road at 80-100, but my weekend driving brings my average consumption to about 10km/l....

    Ive done about 16000km in mine now (Mine is the SiT) and have not had any issues to date, touch wood.

    I also don't understand the comments around excessive gear changes. Besides a few low down...

    I'm happy to report that all seems fairly quiet and reserved with radio off and window open. Definitely sounds, no pun intended, like something is wrong on your motor.

    You've done the right thing, it sounds odd and not in line with the refined diesel noise you should have. I'm still going to be driving home with the radio off today!

    The hissing noise I can relate to, it didn't sound out of place (and wasn't/isn't intrusive) and I put that down to turbo noise of sorts, it doesn't sound like anything mechanical is out of place....
