Re: Those who said, electric vehicle, NEVER!

Absolutely. Macroeconomics teaches us that the most efficient system always wins, always. Here we have an open source system, which is more efficient, allows me to power my home at night and refill...

Re: Those who said, electric vehicle, NEVER!

I read on LinkedIn the other day that a third of shipping traffic is moving fossil fuels. Thatís a hell of a number.

Re: Those who said, electric vehicle, NEVER!

At some stage it will become the norm to spool your power over the grid I believe. So even if Iím charging at the office, Iím powering the grid from my PV array at home. I then pay a ďspoolingĒ fee...

When I bought my Companion in 2010 their quality and customer service was terrible.

No worries mate. Driving on the beach means you run the risk of corrosion. It is what it is.

I didnít take a photo of the Tuareg V6 parked just to the right of shot with the bonnet open. She...

Probably, not sure how long it remains lubricant if though.

    Re: Puncture repairs

Iíve used olive oil to get the plug in in the absence of glue. Worked a charm. I sold the vehicle with that plug in the tyre.

Re: Hub Lock Bolts constantly coming undone

Bolts mostly come loose when they are tightened onto an ďair gapĒ. A seal that is too thick would provide an excellent ďair gapĒ. Allowing it to work loose with vibration.

    Nordloc washers are...

Re: Nice lawnmower - stupid wheel design

Absolutely! Just to add to Peters comments.

Vesonite would provide superior performance in this application than any greased metallic bush, and almost certainly better than a 2RS ball bearing. ...

Well Iíd say itís unlikely that a corded electric vehicle will become viable any time soon, do the distinction is somewhat redundant. Very often it depends on which came first. So hand powered...

Re: EVs dirtier than fossil fuelled vehicles

The thermal efficiency of a power station is far superior to an internal combustion engine. How does a IC achieve lower CO2? Electric cars have regenerate braking donít they? Fuel needs to be...

This for me is the issue. 22km/h sustained is quite the breeze for only 300W. Just how often does the average house experience that? 22km/h gusts yes, but sustained and ďcleanĒ Iíve got my doubts....
