    Re: Vandag oor 'n maand

Niks maak 'n oop wond so seer nie - ek stem saam. Maar in my ondervinding - genees die oop wonde baie vinniger met sulke see water blootstelling ook. :)

    Voorspoed met die nuwe jaar.

    Mag 2022...

Right - it's Friday, so a generic thread bump along with the breakfast beer.... ;D

It's new year's eve today and an end to what has arguably been a year which, although it has had its highlights,...

    Re: Reckless Moloto road driver

    Thanks.

A balanced point of view indicating some of the concerns I raised, without the hubris associated with other posts.

I cannot talk of SANRAL, but the state of most roads in this country...

    Re: Reckless Moloto road driver

I have. You were saying that where contractors cut corners, the issue was with the authority signing off on bad work.

As I said, I understand the point you are trying to make. But, in our ZAnian...

    Re: Reckless Moloto road driver

Perfect. Then why are the roads in the condition they are ? Are procedures being followed ? Or are contracts being given to buddies ? In a perfect world, our roads should be fine. They are not. In...

    Re: Reckless Moloto road driver

Oom 4E. Your assumption is that the person approving the work on behalf of the relevant agency is qualified. In the case of ZA, the chances of this being the case is very slim.

    Is your area of...

Yes. And I there are no cadre deployments in charge of roads - be it municipal or road agency. All people appointed were appointed because they had the relevant education and experience. :)

We are lucky, supply has been relatively stable since power was restored after the last uber outage.

What do they say is the issue this time ?
  19. Re: Wood in Hartbeespoort - Don't Buy Next to the Road

Hey-hey. It's Friday. Also, if you're in or travelling through Harties, don't buy the wood next to the road.

There we go, post made... Time for my breakfast beer... :)

    An awesome weekend to...

    Re: Reckless Moloto road driver

This is the reason I never drive the moloto road. The number of horrible things I have seen on that road put me off it ages ago. There are plenty others to get to where I want to go and I don't mind...

    Re: Your Best/Favorite Braai/BBQ/Outdoor Cooker

I was giving this some thought. Although my favourite outdoor cookers, as already discussed, are the Cobb and the Weber, I have to say that this is my staat-maker.

It's old and ugly. It's rusted...

    Re: Your Best/Favorite Braai/BBQ/Outdoor Cooker

I also like my Weber. But it's too large to cart around when camping, and I find the Cobb a little more versatile. Hence the reason for my Cobb coming in at number 1 for me. :)
