    Update, for those in the same (ikamper) boat.

    It worked, he managed to get in a 30mm latex / cockpit foam mattress (big part only) with a 50mm memory foam topper (both parts of the mattress).

    No, he bought from the brochure through Echo 4x4 in Cape Town and they don't keep units in stock.

    He also realized that the brochure showed an inside light, but the unit came without that also....

    Yes, a car can still get through, wall to wall it is 2.4m (almost exactly same as standard garage door, which is 2.44m).
