    Re: td5 oil pressure concern

On the TD5 in a hot climate you can go to 15W-40. The 5W-40 was for the UK climate, never gets hotter than 20C!

I run mine on a 15W-40 oil, with the 5w-40 I was getting low pressure warnings.

If im not mistaken the td5 has a unique / proprietary protocol that only the nanocom can read. No other device can read the ecu etc.

Plug in a nanocom and see if it works as a first, quick test.

Discovery 2: Re: TD5 Head Gasket Again?

I don't think you need oil pump bolts.

Cam, flywheel, head, crank, that's it.

Dover used to keep them, if they've stopped then agents only.

Have you tried the LR spares place in Alberton?
