The only thing really uncomfortable about a 4.8 GRX is the size and the fuel bill. Maarnouwat. :)

    Re: Mals next tjor.

Hannes, the 4.8 trol motor will kick a Toyota 4.5.... :)

Also, the white (R250k) Patrol is a 2008. As I said, I would put it at the top of my list. :)

    Re: NL Fridge Light Problems

Please bear in mind that I know nothing of NL fridges. I've used Snomaster exclusively for about 8 years now, I think.

In any case, should the switches not be programmable (ie: configurable via...

    Re: Mals next tjor.

Hannes - I know - there are a lot there. Brits Auto is one of the few Nissan dealerships that actually make an effort with Patrols.

I will PM my number to you. I sould be there relatively early...

    Re: Mals next tjor.

I will be in Brits tomorrow. I know my Patrols, and I also know the dealership where that Patrol is standing. In fact aside from my 4.5 GRX, I have also had a 2003 (pre face lift) 4.8 GRX.

    Let me...

    Re: Nissan GY 60 Bakkie

Well, I believe it has been sold.

Also - just a clarification. This was a GQ Patrol (Y60) and not a G60. I believe the seller probably was confused when posting the vehicle.

    G60s are hen's...

Our major go-to guy for Safari and Patrol spares had a few scrapped Terranos in his yard a few weeks ago. I will PM his number to you. He is based in Warmbaths (Bela-Bela) but can courier.

    Patrol Re: TD42 Patrol Pickup

It's not a cruiser or a Defender. It's a Patrol. The gearing will be fine. ;D;D

If it's a donkey 4.2, it will even be slow on 32". And that means it is time for the OP to install a hairdryer.

    235/85R16's sound very narrow...

Are these for standard rims ?

You can jump up to 33" without a lift kit - with the wagons at least.

Most of the guys I know are running 285/75R16's.

I am aware of this. I made the comment because of the general idea that Dunlop is crap. Peter's ealier comment was also mentioning Dunlop muds.

Re: Dunlop Grandtrek AT3g (owners review)

I had a set of Dunlop Grandtrek AT3's on the 4.5 Patrol several sets of tyres ago, and also before I moved to 33" tyres.

They were good. I had no issues with them. I had run them as low as 0.5 bar...

Impressive. I've never seen it that seriously iced, although I have driven the pass before in a lesser "iced-up state". Both up and down. It scared the ....... out of me.
