    I've been using mine everyday since rebuild and its done about 4000km now and actaully suprising comfortable. It does have about 50kgs of Dynamat under the carpets though :)

    The only requirement for a 7 seater came years later with the introduction of the legislation that required the last row to be forward facing seats for safety, hence the Puma jumps and later Discos....

    Why is that? Discovery 1 was sold as a 7 seater and they never had airbags or rear sway bars.

    Wasn't that just the way it was specced more than a legal issue? Sounds like an assumption.

    There is more to life than just dunes. FJ cruiser is good at dunes but leaves a little bit to be desired in other departments.
