    Re: Bush Lapa mods

    Welkom by die familie, Johan.

Dit klink my om jou wa in en uit te kry vat meer tyd en moeite as kamp opslaan!

Van wat jy vertel lei ek af jou "driveway" is opdraende na jou garage. As jy kyk...

    Re: TransAugrabies

I'm doing it in 2020 as part of our Kgalagadi holiday. All bookings and entries made.

Edit: By "it" I mean the TransAugrabies. There's no way I'm riding 361 km's in one go.

Has anyone done this one yet? I can just imagine it must be a scenic event.

Cape Town Cycle Tour (Argus) 2020

Just entered. It will be number 11 (I think).

    Who else?
  6. Re: Extending a vibracrete wall recommendations

We added two slabs to our wall a few months ago and added subtle spikes. Erasmus fencing was the best value for money:

Re: Bush Lapa : experience HIS beauty @

Strange, we feel exactly the opposite. Camping next to the water is quite peaceful with the stream drowning out the noise from neighbours and (our) children. And the hot pool in winter is very...

Re: Bush Lapa : experience HIS beauty @

Ek wil nie tel hoeveel nagte ons die jaar in die BL geslaap het nie. Dit gaan 'n vinnige kort som wees. Ons is skielik aan skoolvakansies gebonde (GROOT aanpassing) en dit is ons voorland vir die...

    Re: Bush Lapa general discussions

Uit beginsel probeer ek maar die wa so lig as moontlik hou en die gewig eerder in die sleepvoertuig dra. Dit help keer dat die wa 'n "anker" raak in los sand en help natuurlik met die remme. In...

    Re: Dual sport tyres

Sad but true. And a LOT of it lane splitting at 40 km/h. That's why I can't really compromise on tar grip. But it would be nice not have a pig off road which is why the Shinko's seems like a very...

    Re: Dual sport tyres

It seems this thread is still going. I fitted a new tyre in March already and maybe it's just appropriate that I give some feedback after a few months of use.

So I decided on the Shinko 705 and...

Yes, they can both charge the battery at the same time. We've been doing it for year without problems. That said, we only use the loose panel when camping in the shade as the standard one on the...

    Here that model's factsheet:

    Re: Bush Lapa mods

It will depend on the controller. Some controllers can accommodate 24 Volts (needs to be rated to handle at least 30 Volts due to spikes) in which case you can connect in series. The Amps should be...

    Re: Bush camps

We enjoy Eselfontein just outside Ceres. You book the entire campsite so it is more suited (priced) to large groups. It's brilliant if you're into mountain biking.

True. Would the tow ball weight have a leverage effect though? I.e. 100 kg on the tow ball equates to 200kg on the concentration point for example.

Dit is interessant wat jy noem. Ek sou dink 'n coil spring konsentreer die druk op 'n enkele punt op die chassis waar 'n bladveer dit versprei tussen twee punte relatief ver van mekaar af. Druk op...

On Monday morning it was 53.6% full. Yesterday it reached 60%. And I'm sure there's more run-off still going in. And Monday another front is hitting us.
