  7. Re: Real word ownership experience - LC 200: V8 4.6l petrol vs V8 D4D

My Pa het so 3jaar terug ook met die besluit gesit tussen die 4.5 Diesel en die 4.6 Petrol. Hy het toe n 4.6 gekry vir n winskoop wat dit so 200k goedkoper as n soortgelyke diesel gemaak het.

Is this on the 4.5 V8 diesel or 4.6 V8 petrol?

The petrol gearing is a bit low for its torque output.

Re: JK rims & 3.6 Rubicon tyre size

No experience with this but from snooping around and reading up on the subject for possible future vehicle its seems 285/70r17 is a common upgrade and the rubicon gearing copes fine with this .

Looking for a Gen 4 for my brother.

To throw a spanner in the works, why not consider a V6. You get lower mileage newer versions for the similar price. If you buy like for like year and kmís you have to drive a fair bit to break even. ...

The current 110 boot is tiny in comparison to its predessesor and a discovery4 for that matter. I suspect the Defender 130 will catch the eye of many a discovery 4 owner looking to upgrade.

  35. Re: Why No Jeep Wranglers or Gladiators Through SA, Namibia, or Botswana?

Both give lots of smiles per miles which is the only relevant consumption ;D. Avg about 7.1km over the last 20k km, the penta engines in newer wranglers will do better especially in a SWB.
