    Re: New park/reserve fees

Just to add some missing info to this thread. Found out via DWNP, children pay 50% of the adult rate (between ages 8 to 15) and below that are free of charge in regard to the park fees. I mention...

Re: Vehicle charging of caravan whilst driving

It makes sense to sell it as 'standard' in that configuration as most tow vehicles would have the normal solenoid system fitted for charging a trailer/caravan battery. That is the default setup.

Re: Imagine comfortvan owners on forum

There is a group on Facebook for Imagine owners, you can try posting there. Pity it is a 2 sleeper. 4 sleeper would sell in a flash.

    Re: Considering a Touareg

Not so bad if you look after it and stay on top of issues. Mine is immaculate and costs me about 2k a month all inclusive of maintenance and repairs. That includes tyres. I DIY many things though.

    Re: Considering a Touareg

    Where to start?

It can be a can of worms. Any old vehicle can, a Treg can be expensive to maintain due to parts availability and lack of knowledge on them. How much are you prepared to DIY? What...

    Re: Treg Owners

I'm sure Stephan will figure it out then if it's not too erratic.

    Edit:
Looking at my V6 TDI diagrams J248 - Diesel Injector Control Unit on a V6 TDI is a module paired with the ECU but might be...

    Re: Treg Owners

Impossible to say on a forum. Guess is then the Injector Control Unit unless you were referring to that by 'slave ECU', or indeed a wiring fault somewhere. Best would be to get the wiring diagram and...

Re: Urgently looking for sump washers

But they are special washers if they are the same as on the V6 TDI. They are constructed with a collapsible shoulder section if that makes sense. Not sure if normal 'flat' ones will work.

Re: House to run ob solar when sun shines

I think you misunderstood the OP, he wants to remain on ESKOM, and just use solar when the sun shines as best possible.

@OP, in that case it's easy, you just need the panels and a suitable...

    Re: Mt. Kilimanjaro 4X4 climb.

So how much does having a turbo diesel compensate for altitude and up to which point? The turbo lag would get worse and worse, but once the turbo spools up things should be pretty good again I would...

The modified vehicle altitude record is held by MB Unimogs 6694 m prior to that a Suzuki Jimny 6688 m.

The unmodified category is by a Touareg 6068 m.

What a stuff up.. Was on the N12, N1 at the time. At least three accident scenes that I passed, some of them involving multiple vehicles. Whole thing delayed my journey by 30 minutes. Pathetic!
