    Re: Reseal licence disk holder

I made my own new seal quite easily with gasket sealant in a tube. Worked very well and stayed put even after a few changes of licence disc over the past few years.

An update: I got busy with petrol and a rag, followed by more scraping with a blade, and am very happy to report that the beastly silicone is GONE.

Re: How to remove silicone from windscreen

Thanks for all the input. I have scraped quite a bit off with a sharp utility blade, without scratching the glass so far. So the bulk is off. I will try some petrol tomorrow, then off to find...

Also look at the Bush Lapa Bosluis 2. We are extremely happy with ours. Not sure if they can put one on the Nissan bakkie- so far only seen them on the Cruiser and Hilux.

    Hi
we were there in October 2018- no toilets then, though there did seem to be signs of attempts to make some- we saw some canvas-covered structures in the distance.

  16. Re: Elephant Attack During Sleep - Third Bridge, Moremi

    Wow. A scary moment indeed.

We have just returned from a trip to the area (mid-October)and had a rather unnerving elephant moment as well. We were camping at Xakanaxa campsite and at about 06h00 a...

    Re: Camping grounds advice needed

Good luck with your new venture. Decent uncrowded campsites are always sought-after.
From my point of view, shade trees and privacy are far more important than grass underfoot. Green lawns in the...

Re: Landcruiser V8 DC as a daily drive?

My 79 V8 SC with camper conversion is absolutely the love of my life. But for daily town driving- no. Poor rearward visibility is one of the issues. So around town I have a Chev 1.8 Ute which does...

Thanks so much for that phone number. I just called the Meat Board and it is currently allowed to bring pork and up to 5kg chicken into Namibia for private use.
  22. chicken and pork into Namibia- up to date advice please
