Re: Camping in Camdeboo National Park

    Hey guys

We did a magic Karoo trip a few years back.

Mountain Zebra NP camping is magic as is Karoo NP close to Beaufort West.

For Camdeboo you will have much more fun if you stay in one...
  2. Re: Toyota Hilux 2.4GD-6 SR - randomly won't start

Very unlikely at the age of the vehicle, but both cars I've had mysterious starting issues with was caused by a faulty earth strap.

Would also love to come for a drive and to know about camping - very keen to find a farm to do a quick night or two camp close to Howick.

Re: ANOTHER Amarok v Hilux etc Thread

I’ve owned a lot of vehicles for my age and the one I remember most fondly is probably the 2006 2.7 VVTi SRX 4x4 single cab I owned.

Not super powerful, a bit thirsty but it just felt right.

Re: Handling the soft sand in Botswana

Definitely worth it I would venture.

  10. Re: 4x4 Diesel DCab for under R400k.... what options do we have?

I’m in exactly the same search.

First prize for me would be a Hilux 2.4 SR but they are trading R 80 k over book value which is just insane.

If you look in the Isuzu section of the forum...

Well, growing up in the UK and being allowed to spend your life on an iPad ain't gonna help with awareness or appreciation of nature.

I'd like to think most forum member's kids would be better?

Re: How do you pack an SUV?

    You forgot a few steps.

Tentco vs Campmor vs Bustec - Quality

    Hi guys

I see that these manufacturers all offer similar products at face value.

Tentco uses a lighter canvas (260g/m2) vs the other two that use 320g/m2.

    Any comments or recommendations...

We may do do the same with our Bull Terrier when our son is a few years older.
  29. Re: How tough are these small SUV-buggies like the Ecosport, T-Cross etc.?

    Re: Ranger Tyre Replacement

    Would definitely not go 285.

One size up on profile (65-70) is max recommended without getting into issues down the line.
